The Investigations Division of the Police Department consists of a Detective Sergeant and one Detective/Investigator appointed by the Chief of Police from the Patrol Division. The division is responsible for the investigation of all major crimes within the incorporated boundaries of the City of Buckley and the Town of Carbonado and the Town of Wilkeson. Investigators are responsible for the investigation of the illegal distribution of narcotics and are active participants in the multi-agency Crime Scene Response Unit (CRU) The Investigators also assist the Chief of Police with the background investigation of potential new employees of the Police Department.
